I saw TRANSFORMERS this weekend. We were fortunate to be a part of the production. We were called to work on background plates at Angkor Wat. One week of work for a very short scene. It was my first time at Angkor Wat. What a great place to film and one of the reasons why Southeast Asia is so attractive to film makers.
We brought an Arri technician from Germany to conduct an intensive 3-day workshop to give out crew the best eduction possible on the use of our new Alexa Cameras.

There is a thriving underground music scene in BKK. This night reminded me of San Francisco in the mid-sixties.

We recently trucked our crew and equipment to Cambodia for a big television commercial for HSBC Bank. We do a lot of work in Cambodia since the infrastructure for film making is still in its infancy there. We are often called upon to provide technical services and crew.
Why I hate it. The message is, come to Thailand, meet a girl, get your thumbs cut off and then have police laugh at you. Amazing Thailand! Plus its gross.
One of the fun things to do in Bangkok is to go on a riverboat dinner cruise. The Chao Praya River is beautiful at night. I have been on several different cruises. They are all reasonably priced and the food is excellent. This boat is from the River Side Hotel and serves buffet style and has live music.
